Privacy Policy
Your app records stay on your device. Here is what happens when you visit our website, join the mailing list, contact us or use connected features.

At a glance
- NADA does not receive your food logs, nutrition history or goals through a cloud account.
- Mailing-list details are stored separately with Mailjet. Signing up is optional, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
- We do not sell personal data or use advertising trackers. Individual email open and click tracking is switched off.
This policy covers the NADA website and app. The app is not publicly available yet.
Who we are
NADA TECHNOLOGIES LTD is responsible for the personal data we use. Contact hello@notadietapp.com for privacy questions or requests.
We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17108376, at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ.
Your app records
Food logs, nutrition history, goals, recipes, favourites and settings are stored on your device. You can export or delete them in the app. Apple or Google may include them in device backups, depending on your settings; NADA does not receive those backups.
Connected features share limited information to provide the service you request:
- Barcode lookups: Open Food Facts receives the barcode and technical request information, such as your IP address. Your food logs and goals are not sent.
- Purchases: Apple or Google handles payment. RevenueCat processes an app user identifier, receipts, purchase history, access rights and relevant app/device information to provide and restore Pro. We use this information to fulfil purchases and, in our legitimate interests, prevent fraud and manage purchase performance. Nutrition records and payment card details are not sent to NADA or RevenueCat by the app.
- Photos, links and sharing: You choose the image to import or the destination for a link, export or shared recipe. Your browser, photo provider or chosen recipient handles that information under its own terms. Shared recipes can be copied by their recipients.
Deleting app data does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription.
Website, mailing list and support
Website: Render hosts the site and receives technical information, including IP address, browser information and requested pages, to deliver and protect it. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website. Render does not supply us with request logs for this static site. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand and improve website use through summary statistics on visits, pages viewed, referring sites, device types and loading performance. It does not use analytics cookies, browser storage or fingerprinting, or build visitor profiles. Your theme preference is saved in your browser.
You can turn off website analytics or turn it back on. Your choice is saved in this browser.
Mailing list: With your consent, we use your email address to send NADA launch news and future updates through Mailjet. The optional answers about how you found NADA and which phone platform you use help us understand our audience. Mailjet also handles technical, delivery and subscription records, including your IP address, signup date and consent wording. Loading the form connects your browser to Mailjet even before you submit it.
You must confirm your email before joining the list. Unconfirmed submissions are used to manage confirmation, not to send marketing. Your email is required to subscribe; the other answers are optional. We retain consent evidence to demonstrate permission and opt-out records to honour your choice, relying on our legal obligations and legitimate interest in resolving consent disputes.
Support: Microsoft 365 handles emails to us, including your address, message and attachments. We use these to answer questions and resolve problems, based on our legitimate interest in providing support. Please do not send medical records, passwords or payment card details. If health information is needed, we will ask for explicit consent before using it; you can withdraw that consent.
How long we keep information
- App records: Until you delete them. Device backups follow your Apple or Google settings.
- Theme preference: Until you change it or clear browser storage.
- Analytics choice: Until you change it or clear browser storage.
- Website analytics: Cloudflare makes statistics available for the previous six months.
- Mailing list: While you remain subscribed and we continue the updates service. Optional answers are retained while useful for understanding the current audience; they are removed or anonymised when no longer useful.
- Signup and consent records: Retention depends on whether confirmation is outstanding, evidence is needed to resolve a consent dispute, or an opt-out must be honoured. A minimal do-not-email record may remain after unsubscribe to prevent accidental re-addition; it is not used for marketing.
- Support: Normally up to 24 months after an issue closes. Relevant records may be kept for up to six years for complaints, transactions or legal claims.
- Purchases: For the duration of access and any outstanding purchase dispute, fraud investigation or legal record-keeping obligation.
Providers and overseas processing
The providers named above receive information only for the relevant service. We may also disclose necessary records to professional advisers or authorities for legal obligations or claims. Some providers separately process information for their own payment, security or legal responsibilities.
Providers may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Applicable safeguards include UK adequacy arrangements or contractual safeguards such as standard contractual clauses with the UK Addendum. Contact us for a copy or details of the safeguards relevant to your information. See Mailjet's processing terms and RevenueCat's processing terms.
Your choices and rights
Stop marketing at any time: Use the unsubscribe link in an update or email hello@notadietapp.com. You can withdraw consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your personal data, where applicable. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email us to exercise these rights; we may need to verify your identity. For records held only on your device, use the app's export and deletion controls.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. NADA does not make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you.
We keep this policy up to date. Before using your personal data for a new purpose, we will explain the change to you.
